Heroes Music Vid: "My Best Wasn't Good Enough" - Kane

Okay, I admit, I couldn't help myself. I made another entire cast vid. BUT it was all in good spirit, back when I had the Claire/Zach vid going around in my head I also had this one too by the wonderful Dutch band Kane. It is almost entirely different footage again (I don't tend to use the same scene twice unless it's too pretty/meaningful to turn down). PLUS there is a miniscule blink-and-you'll-miss-it section of the Claire promo provided to me by __outdated (thank you again *hugz*). So without further ado, the vid (please enjoy):

Excellent!!! I loved the "voices in the head" bit for Matt and Peter telepath mindmeld, and "You're not the only one" bit for Claire, and the zoom in highlight of her name on the screen.........really cool

You have tons of my fave iconic scenes in there, especially the exploding Peter at the end, hence the avy I've chosen specially. I believe they would have done everything the same way, if they had to do it all again.....Well done .....some nice and gruesome stuff in there too, Hah!! enough to give Spielburg nightmares

PS How did you do your background to your journal (the wallpaper) assuming you are on a free S2 account?

Aw yeah that worked out really well *nods* I'm glad. And WOW you spotted the blink-and-you'll-miss-it part! hehe. I can't take any credit for the zooming, that was from the promo, but I will take the credit for matching it up to the same Mohinder scene (where he's actually excited about discovering all of them, not just Claire *snicker* OMG did I just start another ship?!?!?).

*nods* I try to have as many different scenes between my vids as I can. And, well, it's an iconic show, so it's totally not hard. You just have to remember them and find them and then cut them RIGHT down. Exploding Peter, oh he was a total nuisance trying to edit LOL I couldn't quite hit the fading part of it, but I guess lighting up works just as well :D

I did put a lot of um reliving destiny in there and time stopping (all Hiro related, that's how the song came about), plus I chose moments that will no doubt have been played out over and over again because they were meant to happen or because those characters will have made those same decisions regardless of the cicumstances. And I guess putting all the gory bits together just goes to show how bloody this show can be hehe

Ohhh um I didn't do that. My friend did my layout (I have no idea how to do the coding & stuff). And I'm on a paid account, which I have been for over a year. I don't believe you can do this layout unless the account it paid (or at least that's what the case was at the time we put it up).

OOH I really like the song [you introduce me to the best songs always]

if the word give or take occurs in any lyrics I always feel certain they apply to Nathan/Peter. Because Petrelli brother's have that sort of relationship, no? And I liked how the scene was Nathan giving Peter the book back because it's sort of Nathan thinking exasperatedly that he gives it his all and yet Peter asks for more while the line is also true [some would say more true] of Peter who does always try to give his brother all.

LOL the "and it aches and it hurts and it burns and oh it kills me" was so right for the DL/Claire/Sylar-Peter shots.

And damn you Matt's wife-whose-name-escapes-me "don't pretend you care" OKAY!? I'd much rather it be Matt/Audrey in Heroes.

Also I appreciated the "I'd do it all again" bits where we see Peter saving Claire or the Hiro/Charlie/origami scene because despite the hurt & heartache they really would do the same no matter the conseuqences to themselves.

Also the "you're not the only one" with Claire's name highlighted I felt it fitting because it isn't all about "Save the cheerleader you know" I tend to agree with Ando StC THEN StW.

Wohoo! hehe. Well I gotta give all credit to queen_od & canadian_turtle for introducing me to Kane and all these other wonderful Dutch bands and giving me their songs :D They rock.

*cheers* Man I love u! *hugz* U just get it! It's great :D Totally that whole scene epitomises that Nathan feels he gives and gives to his brother until there's nothing left, and the latest predicament is the whole fantasy *cough* that he has superpowers. So the thrusting of the book that represents that, quite the symbolism *nods* And in Peter's case, he just gives to everyone because he cares so much. But u got it! *squishes u*

Isn't it amazing where I can pick moments where the dialogue is actually recited in the song lyric (or... close to?) Had the whole fight thing where she was telling him she was worried sick and I think at one point one of them had that thought or something. K memory is dying grr Um no Matt/Audrey this time round, but I don't normally get the wife in (damn your memory blocking is catching).

*nods* Exactly what I thought for those bits. I like how towards the end it came out looking like DL was trying to stop Niki/Jessica from tearing up more men *snickers* But we know Jessica will (and does) "do it all again".

Yup the thing I wanted to grab with that bit was when Claire realised she wasn't the only one that could regenerate, and she made the claim to Peter that she wasn't alone, and then he sat down to explain it all to her when he was super impressed himself. ♥ that. And that whole section DID seem to fill out the "Save the cheerleader, save the world" thing didn't it? LOL But in a completly different sense. I agree with Ando too *nods*

"Rain Down On Me" was the first song of theirs I got and I LOVED it and played it over and over and demanded more, so I got given the other two (plus a CD & DVD as presents over the years I've known those 2 girls). I can understand how vid songs get stuck in your head though. I was writing today when "Fix You" came on my computer and I got distracted then cause I kept thinking of Nathan & Peter and wishing for the show to come back so I had more footage LOL

Interesting fact... the song I used originally I was going to do a Chris (Charmed) vid for all the way back when. But Heroes is more fitting *nods*

Wow. This was lovely. Heartrending and sad and sorta hopeful...that they just keep working toward something, even with all that's in the way. I love the cuts you made on the hard beats--it worked really well, especially with Hiro and D.L. using their abilities. :) Very nice job!

Just finished watching them all! Took me a while, but I had to wait until I could listen with the music up and had a fast enough connection.

I do have to say, you are awesome at making videos! Honestly, I love them all. I don't think I could actually pick a fave, I liked different bits of them all. Keep making them though! And good luck on the next round! ;D

Thank you! :D I'm glad you like them. I enjoy making them. I totally know the feeling LOL There's always different aspects to everything I do so you can never favour one thing over another, they're all unique in their own way. And I will keep making them *nods* I do hope I go okay.
