Hi all. Just popping in to drop off my latest 2 day project (see I was that excited at having some time to actually do something again that I rushed straight through with this one to finally get the idea out of my head). If anything I have discovered more of what my program can do - the highlight being I now know how to speed up and slow clips down in my vids (on purpose) *cheers*
This video COULD be unashambly Paire (for all those Peter/Claire shippers out there) but it's also an insight into the relationship between these two characters. Peter is caught up in fulfilling a destiny and doesn't want to lose Claire who is pivotal to their future, and Claire doesn't want to lose the only person she feels understands her. This vid shows the strong bond they have and, yeah, I took a little liberty to create some kind of not-very-true story like another certain pairing...

Apr. 23rd, 2007 06:24 pmOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first round of vidding awards already ended and I was both surprised and terrified. And I meekly made my way over to the site and I won one of the 2 Judges Choice awards AND runner up for Best Character!!!! *does a little happy dance* Oh I'm so ecstatic. Made my day. And now I'm posting and squealing and showing off my awards :D
Round 2 has opened :D And now I don't know what to do next... LOL I think I have to put another vid in. Should I go with the Niki/Nathan "Lips of an Angel" one to cover some different categories?

This vid and everything around it has caused me no amount of anguish. But through all the blood, sweat and tears I think it's turned out really well. The basis of it was provided by ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
alenah who wanted me to show the change between Peter at the start of the series and what he has become now. So, hon, this one's for you *hugz* Consider it an early birthday present. ;) And I also gotta thank canadian_turtle who was asking me about this song months ago before I even heard it - it sunk its hooks into me straight away and refused to let go until I provided a Peter vid for it (amusing, non-the-less, that despite this "appearing" to be New York, it was actually filmed in downtown LA as the lyrics say).
I noticed the difference between Milo and Adrian Pasdar during this. Both guys are great people to vid, but where Adrian uses a lot of subtlety and you can read the emotion from his facial expressions, Milo incorporates his whole body into a deeply involving body-language type illustration. Very different acting styles but very complimentary. True, this makes Adrian easier to vid than Milo, but it also makes for some fantastic footage once you incorporate some meaning to a scene. In that respect this is pretty action-packed and enjoyable.
Summary: Peter dreams of being someone great, and upon absorbing the abilities of others and awakening those powers he finds he's not only endangering his own life but those of others around him. This video shows the transition of Peter as simply a dreamer, to someone who can master his own abilities & learn to help those around him.

This is not to say said project will be completed as I have to work out the fundamentals of things first and I may not be able to do it, but if I do I sincerely hope it will be something that everyone can enjoy *hugz*

I actually haven't seen Ep 15 yet so this was all done up to and including ep 14. And still I kept thinking afterwards "Oh, I didn't put that in!" Anyways... I hope you guys enjoy.
This video is about Sylar (aka Gabriel Gray). Though I nicknamed it "the blender" because of how many times I had to layer in this song (I honestly didn't know it really was a challenge to make a vid to), it is in actual fact a portrait of a serial killer. Sylar is thirsty for power, he wants to be seen as special. He has a different way of viewing the world, slightly askew and distorted, with the self-imposed ability that he can "fix things". This video shows his origins, his battles, his skill and the way he is able to overcome the obstacles that he has faced.

Okay, I admit, I couldn't help myself. I made another entire cast vid. BUT it was all in good spirit, back when I had the Claire/Zach vid going around in my head I also had this one too by the wonderful Dutch band Kane. It is almost entirely different footage again (I don't tend to use the same scene twice unless it's too pretty/meaningful to turn down). Okay I'm gonna dedicate this one to never_evil for inspiring me to make it through all our discussions on Nathan and Peter Petrelli. Sadly not everything could fit into this song, but I did my best to show the relationship between the two siblings, how Nathan tries to combat his younger brothers "delusions of grandeur" while still making his own fatal mistakes, and how much they really do care about one another.

You can tell I'm obsessed about a fandom if I become a die-hard vid fanatic about it. Since I've gotten the new program now that actually works *cheer* I had to jump straight in and do something. I don't have all the Supernatural eppies available to me, but because of my Zach-RPGing I did have most of the Heroes ones. I ended up with all of them last night by the time I was halfway through and so I managed to get everything I could into this one vid. Anyways, enjoy. I've embedded the Youtube vid (hopefully it works). If anyone would like me to upload it so they can download it from somewhere, please comment with that request and I'll put it up somewhere for you...
