Okay so if you're just a curious nut who had to click the link (just when ppl tell you NOT to push the shiny red button) congratulations, you clicked. Now if you really haven't seen Powerless, you better start running because I will not be held responsible for what you see below.
... still here? ....
... are you sure you've seen it? ....
Okay then. For all who are still with us, this video is in tribute to Nathan Petrelli. I'm not saying he's dead - in fact I believe quite the opposite to be true. But there's plenty of fangirls out there panicking and starting "Save Nathan" campaigns so I'll contribute this vid to that if it will help Adrian's cause any.
The vid itself looks as the sibling love between Nathan and Peter Petrelli. The inspiration for this dropped on me like an anvil after seeing the finale and made sure it wormed it's way to the front of the queue as the most important thing that needed to be done. In this vid you'll see the relationship and close bond between the brothers - how so many times Nathan has lost Peter and had to deal with it, only now to have the coin flipped where this time Peter has lost Nathan and must learn to cope. But essentially this vid is about Nathan, how his brother changed his views on the world, and basically it's giving his younger brother a message of love and reassurance just as he did when he was alive

Date: 2007-12-12 10:20 am (UTC)- that silent bit in the middle and you using the scene from s1 where Nathan and Peter are flying together was so so heartwrenching for me, I don't know why. It seemed so right to put that scene there.
- And during the "I'm so hollow" bits all the Nathan scenes you used - him punching the glass, him coming up to Peter's house to tell him their dad is dead...I love the way you use the context of the scenes in the actual episodes to give even more weight to the lyrics.
You have been the one
They really have been the one for each other. Between parents who appear to be even more and more deranged in their thoughts with each past generation revelation, between all the times they have almost lost each other but found their way back they have been eah other's support system. Just the thought of one without the other is so unbearable!
The way you bookended the video was perfect. It was as if between the shots were fired and Nathan
falls unconscious"dies" both of them are having these vivid flashbacks of their lives y'know? And that last scene seemed so ethereal because of the lighting...like here's one last hug before goodbye.Loved that quote at the end ♥

Date: 2007-12-12 10:52 am (UTC)LOL mine is so ongoing. I got that down. Got a Nathan fic I just finished which I'll put up as well once I finish going through comments and stuff :D My muse is doing well in my time off *cheers*

Yeah, a lot of things were fabulous lead-ups to scenes or lead-ins to certain lyrics. It's like my only job was to make sure I put things in the right meaningful order, and some things I kinda discovered just by accident (I so wanted to use the Adrian Pasdar flying thing where he looks like he's doing the chicken dance but alas there was no room for such humour). And I loved how I could switch from one Nathan hand-grabby scene to another one that leads into Peter's grabby hands (and it was all kind of like "Peter's dreaming of trying to get Nathan back even though those scenes were of Nathan losing hold of someone he loves")
- And during the "I'm so hollow" bits all the Nathan scenes you used
I loved working on that bit, because it was like showcasing all Nathan's lowest points. The moments he feels like he has nothing left. ZOMG the song just came on again (but only the song, not my vid. This is too damn freaky LMAO)
between all the times they have almost lost each other but found their way back
♥ Absolutely perfect the way you phrased that.

Aww *wholeheartedly agrees* It's everything they (and we) don't want to lose, right?
And that last scene seemed so ethereal because of the lighting...like here's one last hug before goodbye.
Beautiful, you got it. I completely upped the brightness and contrast on that one to give it that otherworldy view. *HUGZ* Man I'm gonna get all weepy again. *misses liek woah*
